Meet Our Experts
Dr. Kempton
Rebecca Kempton, MD is a pediatric sleep expert who specializes in helping families with infants to 6-year-olds establish and maintain healthy sleep habits. Working with thousands of parents globally, Dr. Kempton coaches families to a better night’s sleep with a variety of behavioral techniques based on individual family goals and children’s temperaments. After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth and an M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical School, Dr. Kempton worked for several years as a medical director for healthcare technology and pharmaceutical companies before becoming certified as a pediatric sleep specialist and founding her own business, Baby Sleep Pro. A board member of the American Sleep Association and the author of sleep tips in Mommy MD Guide to Getting your Baby to Sleep, Dr. Kempton is a regular blogger for the Huff Post, Thrive Global, and Mommybites; she has contributed to many articles in Parents, Fit Pregnancy, PureWow, Romper and Experts Among Us. Dr. DuMond
Sara DuMond, MD is the chief medical officer and founder of Pediatric Housecalls. She is a 2000 AOA graduate of West Virginia University Medical School and completed her residency in pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC in 2003. Prior to founding Pediatric Housecalls in 2011, she was in private group practice in the Charlotte area. She has been a contributing author, regularly blogs, and has served on the advisory board for several nationally recognized print and online parenting publications, including Parents and WebMD. She has a special interest in child safety, maintains CPS certification by Safe Kids Worldwide, and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the NC Medical Society. She currently lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and 3 children.
